Each year approximately one billion birds die during night migrations due to city lights and window collisions. For this episode, we spoke with Heidi Trudell, one woman who is on a mission to lower that staggering statistic. Since 2003, Heidi has worked as a researcher and consultant on the topic of bird collision and prevention. A Native Texan with a field biology background focused on Attwater’s Prairie Chickens, Aplomado Falcons, Heidi has also worked at zoos, libraries, and tech startups.
